I like how you did the metal reflection with the light, and the slight bit of reflection of the tiger's leg on the shield. Also I agree with you, the shield does look like it is wanting to bite his tail :P
Also I love his expression, I can't quite figure it out but I have a guess towards somwhat of a smirk going with a modest personality.

Thanks, I worked hard on it! The trade was to draw each others' characters but neither of us have good reference sheets. Also I need to work on expressions/faces big time. His character looked modest and timid, yet.... energetic or I dunno. I just made him kind of awkwardly smiling for a portrait.
