I feel like I've been on this Pepe Sylvia-esque deep dive for the past 24 hours and I'm losing my mind.
Did Giik inspire Fwiffy at all? Is there a point where you pitch Snoutbreakers to Dan Fornace to make it about a secret underground fight club in Jouelsvale and the final boss ends up being Ayala's mistake of the week?
I... seriously broke a little and feel bad that I didn't notice sooner the connective tissue between SNoutbreakers (a demo my friend DEEPLY enjoyed from SAGE) and Dreams of Aether (a game my same friend deeply enjoyed in spit eof not giving a hollar and a hoot about Aether as a whole.) and my head is spinning and I still swoon over seeing Hodan dressed as Majima.

Howdy! I'm Snoutbreaker's lead dev, and I can answer a couple of these.
For Fwiffy, It's not so much that Giik inspired Fwiffy and moreso that Giik and I share similar interests and moths happen to be one of them-- Snoutbreakers takes place in an OC setting I've been running tabletops in for over a decade now, and there is a moth species there called Tor'cha. Trout actually did a species chart for the setting almost 9 years ago, with a couple other pieces he did of characters from my tabletops scattered around his portfolio ( https://www.furaffinity.net/view/22315016/ ). A Tor'cha fighter was always planned because Tor'cha are one of the core species of the setting. The first plans were way more gruff but Pixelbutts made Fwiffy really cute in her first concept art spread and I instantly fell in love with the design and decided to keep it.
Giik hasn't done any of the fighter designs for Snoutbreakers- Most of the first circuit was designed by Pixelbutts back in 2020, while Aggroha, Paahul, Tonfa predate them and are all designed by Trout. Most of Giik's contribution to Snoutbreakers has been helping me understanding coding concepts and teaching me how things like saving are done in gamemaker. He did help me out very early on by contributing some sprites for a placeholder robot to use back when the project was in its earlier stages and I didn't have enough pre-existing sprites to use when building fighters, but we've got enough placeholder sprites from our existing sprite sets that it doesn't see use anymore.
If I wanted to, I could probably pitch Snoutbreakers to Dan as a rivals sidestory or maybe have a crossover with them someday, but my personal ethos on that sort of thing is that unless I'm capable of making and shipping a quality product with my own IP I don't want to risk pitching something to anyone else. Snoutbreakers started as a learning project, and there's still plenty of things I've still got to learn and skills to hone before I want anything to do with having to deal with publishers. I did get to see a bit of what working with them would be like with Dreams and that game was a blast that came together extremely quickly and everyone involved understood the assignment perfectly. Those clothes for hodan were a half-serious suggestion I made to Trout while he was trying to figure out what kinds of outfits to put hodan in for that stage and I'm still a little surprised that it made it in. My brainworms compelled me to whisper a lot of silly ideas to the team over Dream's development and I'm really glad that some of them seem to be a lot of people's favorites. The "Maybe" quit button on the quit game menu is another one that people really seem to like!

First of all, thank you for taking the time out to answer my fugue-state comment, and I wanna apologize to Trout for my silly conspiracy brain.
I was asking these questions slightly in jest and wanted to just let you folks know you make rad games.
Please don't actually take my suggestion of pitching Snoutbreakers to Dan seriously. It was my way of trying to add to the air of this comment sounding like a sleep-addled doofus. I think the game can stand on it's own legs, and if you ever find a publisher, I hope it's in a situation where you both enter it healthily.
I'm looking forward to seeing more about Snoutbreakers and just... you folks' work in general. The tiny bit of gamedev I've dipped my toes into ended up being a pretty stressful affair, so I have infinite respect to people who are in this for the long haul!
