Holy craptastic ladies and gents I actually managed to do the bulk of my Vday images and got it finished! Wow I'm so proud and surprised at myself right now :w00t: This was a killer picture to do, I spent at least 4-5 days actually sketching the roughs, inking and cleaning then the freakin toning....do you know how many hours that is in total!? Way too much if you ask me ;_; God my back's killing me after being stooped over my tablet for so long on this...and to think I've actually got to finish part 2 off for the end of this week ;_;
So what's going to happen next I do wonder! Do you think she'll give a postive answer? Heh you'll have to wait to see the next and final installment ;P
Anyways yes I worked so very hard on this so the least you could do is give me some feedback eh? It's much obliged nn;

The very least would be some feedback and so I'm obliged to do so. The fact that all of this was done on a tablet, in OC no less, is rather amazing. I would kill to learn how you handled the screen tone effect so well in photoshop 7 too. The layout works well; I like the very definite diagonal of the "action" from top left down to bottom right. The characters themselves look like I remember, with a dash of style thrown in and look different from one another, something that can be a pain to accomplish at times. And the poker for "matera" is nice touch.
Cloud looks a bit more self aware then I personally ever gave him credit for, but then he's never been a favorite of mine. Still, he's oblivious as usual to the comings and goings of his would-be prospects. Here's hoping he ends up stuck with Barret at the end of this.
If there's anything that could be said that works against this its a slight lack of preamble. We have no idea where the two were sitting, though it doesn't seem like they were sharing the table with the rest of the gang. Maybe a "cover" image of the pair, at the bar, chatting while Tifa takes a quick swig to get her confidence up. Yuffie's legs also look a little cut off by her stool. Both of these are pretty minor quibbles so feel free to ignore.
