My BF has issues like this. His back is totally messed up, he has no cartilage left in his knees and his nerves are destroyed. So this comic relates to him in a cute way. :)

They do! I've found that sugar and a hot blanket can calm them down.

I have raspberry tea here to keep my hands supple as I draw inktobers. I'm not keeping Yom Kippur very admirably. Gmar tov.
