well in the GUNROCK universe Atsidas is pretty apolitical, working as a pilot in the first air superiority squadron made up of dragons only using modified F15s, to him its just a job until he gets drafted as a test pilot. The US is working on its first jump capable spacecraft and he's sent light-years into space, assumed dead, but picked up by an interstellar ship that locked onto the jump signature of the craft. He's taken aboard and learns the universe is much bigger and fuller of life than previously thought, things like politics and petty disagreements falling to the wayside as its learned that real evil lurks in the stars, often sending incursions of demonic forces to land planetside to raze the population.

His philosophy is that there are more important things to worry about than being divisive over really dumb things when we should all band together for the betterment of everyone!

about the AU lore and how politics play in it? I mean i could go into more detail about things like the Observation Fleet overall goals and ambitions vs the Raptorian Republic as well as how the Liberation Fleet plays into all of that if you want! I'm always down to answer questions about it!
