Oh, yeah, you got that right! Few things are as aggravating as a movie where you have to turn the sound up all the way to get some idea of what the characters are saying, just for a sound effect to go off which is so crystal clear you grab your ears in pain!

Yeah, I've given up reading credits, even on a 42" screen...

I vividly recall being in the theater trying to watch the credits on the '05 King Kong movie, in a theater that insisted on turning up the lights like half a minute before the end credits began so they could come in and clean up between screenings. To let the employees do their job, I decided to leave and figured I'd watch the end credits after the film came to a home format. I didn't factor in that even on the big screen the typeface was on the small side... Not that the movie didn't have a LOT more problems going for it than small credits...
