★ And here's another one of my interpretations of a mythical creature for the World of Izalia! Cockatrices are planned to be a large family of bird-like creatures, but for now, only one distinct species.

Flowernosed cockatrices, or hummingbird cockatrices, are a rare species found in certain regions of Rainalia, particularly the Wasp Forest. Despite their vibrant coloring and iridescent feathers, hummingbird cockatrices are predators and feed on insects, particularly blood wasps, which also roam the Wasp Forest.
These birds have keen eyesight and are diurnal, gathering in flocks and large swarms.
