Unlike the other races and cultures of Eldris, the torgonauts are unique in the fact that they do not have a culinary culture..... on the surface.

But looks can be deceiving.

Torgonauts do not butcher and slaughter their future-meals. Being serpentine, torgonauts are able to unhinge their free floating jaw bones to open their mouths wide enough to swallow whole meals. After which, depending on the meal, are able to go months without further meals.

Torgonauts can consume the dead but it is preferable culturally and (their words) better for taste. The unfertilized eggs of tikani women are considered a delicacy and highly prized. Tikani themselves are also regularly made into meals by their golden overlords. For the sake of digestion, most eaten tikani are paralyzed or have their necks broken only at the moment they are literally consumed.

The torgonauts preying upon the tikani is so culturally prevalent, the name 'tikani' has unwittingly become the de facto name for the lizard men of Torg by the other races of Eldris. Their race are technically named the, "T'klanoa". But the torgonaut pejorative tikani meaning something akin to 'snack' to compliment the torgonauts cruel ways.
