Despite Fennia's general disposition at times, for a period Fennia was not in a good headspace. Given all that happened to her, from being a human to being a functional quadraplegic without assisstance, she'd have took her own life by now were she capable of doing so.

Kolruu knows this, but keeps it to himself for some time. The others do see bits and pieces, but at some point, despite Fennia not being truthful of her own past, Kolruu tells her that he understands her situation while they have some time to themselves.

Having been forced to kill to feed the Beyondard in him, a being that made him in the first place, Kolruu is well aware of feeling like he's little more than a shell. He may work with the others, but Fennia is the only one he can emotionally connect to; the only one he thinks understands, more than most, such toxic self-loathing.

Kolruu holds her face, almost as if desperately making sure she doesn't leave as well, and begs her to not leave him alone. He begs her to promise him that she will not intentionally let her life end or take it herself. By this point Kolruu had already taken good care of Fennia, rarely left her alone, is is the only one she knows who can allow her to move on her own.

She will keep her past a secret for some time longer, still certain that her life as a human would draw too many questions she wasn'tprepared to answer, but it would be unfair to brush aside one who obviously cares for you. And one who so desperately needs someone to understand and care for them.
