Repetitive space. Figure as Architecture.
There's an idea in architecture that there is a beauty in repetition, in its organization. They tend to be often really into math, lots of renaissance buildings are perfectly propertied mathematically, as are old renaissance paintings. I personally find it overkill most times but everyone to their own, esp in art. Repetition with variants to me extends the reach of a curve or shape without having to draw the figure in literals over a distance, its almost like speed lines in slow-motion, a heightening of a feeling.
