FR; I mean, I know single women IRL but not any that seem or feel like they're looking for a romantic partner. I personally have a theory about why, but I think it needs some revising before being shared. Still, feel ya, hopefully the tides turn in due time.

Part of it might just be down to how shallow people have gotten in recent times.

I've pretty much embraced the hermit life at this point.

I've honestly started to embrace it from time to time. It makes things feel "easier" for a while but then the feelings creep back up on me as i sit in my empty house for too long.

I feel. Though mine is a bit self inflicted. I've removed myself from the dating scene for a while after some bad relationships.

Mine I'm sure is partially self inflicted, though not intentionally. I'm just really socially awkward especially during the times when I was around girls my age (i.e. school days). Now though I'm surrounded only by dudes IRL at my job and Online.

GOOD NEWS: Dude, lots of divorcees and other single women out there.
BAD NEWS: They're all over 40...

It seems all the things I have an interest in are also male dominated too. But then again, I don't really 'get out there' for anything. I don't have any real presence online or in person.

No in-person presence is basically the story of my life. I have an online presence but not in a personal way, more just "professional".

I am also doomed to die alone as an asexual woman. =']

Boy, do I know what that feels like in more ways than one. Seriously dude, I can relate.

I went through high school, my one year of college, and up to the present as a single dude. No partners, never been on a real date, nothing like that. I personally never found the time to commit to a relationship with someone, and even if I did, I was often too nervous to ask anyone out. Nowadays, I see all my friends, relatives, and people I knew from school meeting people they like, getting married, and a few of them already have children. It honestly makes me feel like the odd one standing out.

I don’t mind living a solitary lifestyle(especially when you have a dog or other pet with you), but even loners can feel lonely sometimes. It would be nice if I was able to find a girlfriend. Perhaps someday! Maybe. Hopefully. ………I don’t know.

That's basically the exact boat im in and like you I generally dont mind being solitary (and part of me thinks if i did have a partner i might suddenly want to be solitary even more) but there are times where man it'd really really be nice to have someone there.
