100mb by virgin media

I'll correct you there.

Virgin Media cannot send out 100mb, it overloads their servers.
The maximum anyone can get is 20mb
But most people get around 2-5mb transferred to them.
So VM, bunch of shit =D

the 100mb is over fiberoptic only, and costs around £50 a month,

We're on Fibre Optic, and I only get around 1mb.
Virgin Media make false adverts to get more sales.
Virgin Media pile shit loads of money on your bill for useless stuff.

uh, i've been with virgin media, since i had internet, until i got this new house

in fact, there the cheapest i've seen with the highest speeds, guess it depends on who you are,

havn't had a problem with the payments or anything

Virgin Media never go higher than 5-10mb per household.
They have to share out their speeds to over god-knows how many customers, without their servers dying.
You'll soon notice they will pile shit loads of prices on your bill for silly stupid things.

We're terminating our Virgin Media service soon and heading over to Sky.

actually i am with sky, and they originally said £45 of our internet...then said they miss calculated it and said £25, then they sent a later asking for £54 for a once off, and then 37 a month..

My mum's gone with Sky.

TV, Phone, Broadband, all for £32.75
And she strictly said to them that she wants to see only £32.75 every month on the bill.
No more, maybe less |3
And they said they promise to make a nice deal for all their customers.

we got the same deal really, instead its not unlimited internet T.T, which is a shame

Her package has the internet entirely free and unlimited.
My mum's very strict XD If she notices any changes in her bill, she screams to the providers, they shit themselves!

You know VM have lied to my dad once? He wanted to come off contract, guy on the line says "Okay, I will do that." The month later, he's still getting the bills, so he calls again to ask why he has another bill, the WOMAN on the end said "Because you're still on the contract."

VM do false sales to get money. It's a business thing.

But the best internet is broadband.
It's faster and more reliable, more suitable for furaffinity.

I think FIOS (fiber optics) is the best out there right now, though I may be behind on times XD

Ohhh AOl ouch x.x I was with that from 3.0 till 9.0 Optimized lol and I think from what I've read is that it's glass tubing with thin wires inside which relay information at a very fast speed. it's what military bases use to transmit information during situations where waiting for downloads isn't an option lol But yeah i think it's hollow glass tubing with wire inside (almost like normal cables except glass and special wire) I think Qwest has it, I'm not sure what companies you've got where you are but just googling FIOS should give you more information

I have RoadRunner from Time Warner Cable. I'm paying for 15Mb/sec and I get about 30Mb/sec on Speedtest.net. It's somewhat expensive ($50/mo.) but I have three people who are constantly on the internet in my home.

I've got this as well, so I second this suggestion as well as FiOS from Verizon, which I never had problems with either.

There's a LOT of internet providers out there, so feel free to check around. Don't get suckered into websites though that say they'll find you a provider, they usually have you give them some info that seems harmless enough to give out but then THEY end up giving it out to solicitors and crap. It's just something that I'd wish I knew before lU

Not only that but some of them will actually add to your monthly bill by being somewhat of a "middle-man" and add surcharges for "directing you" to that provider.

In short: the websites that say they'll find you a provider usually end up being a bunch of BS :I

OH AND, sometimes phone companies can lay "claims" to a specific area making it legally impossible for other phone (or internet, in this case) companies to come through and provide services for you. So, you may just have to call your local land-line provider and check with them. It's happened to me and my family before. We got ripped off big time too but it's all we could get :T
