When Gekkon survive long enough, and assuming they're particularly dominant, they have a chance to begin a further growth into a Black-Scaled Gekkon, also known as Zawakh Gekhonneg in their native tongue. These Gekkon are far larger than their kin and represent the apex of their kind, often leading tribes.

Blackscales, the self titled mature Geckos, are hulking brutes with the physical fortitude of tanks. Being the largest of the already crude, brutish Geckos, they rise to become a leadership caste as Noks, or if one of them claws her way to the very top, a Dzütlicha, or Warlord. Warlords rule entire tribes and are capable of growing even larger over time, with venerable ones being titled as Otsargha, or Tyrant.

Cave Witches, or Yaaj Örmuneg, are fully matured Olms. No longer timid, skittish psychics, Cave Witches are now fully capable of using their immense psionic abilities to turn people inside out and are either left alone by justifiably terrified Gekkon, or goaded into semi-nobility positions as advisers to Warlords and living siege weapons.

And finally, Fiends, or Shadlu Lecheneg , are the bloated end stage of Newts. Deceptively fast for their girth, these cannibalistic apex predators are a terror unto themselves and haunt swamplands as ferocious, gluttonous beasts as liable to devour their own smaller kin as they are non-Gekkon.
