In White Deer Park it rained and thundered a lot. In Farthing land there is the most uneasiness for all the animal inhabitants. Including the fox family. Old Fox is out at the moment to discuss his grandson about a lot of serious matters with Tyran and Blaze. Old Vixen remains in their fox den and sleeps all afternoon, until she is woken up by two young-adult vixens. One is Whisper, and the other is Charmer, Fox and Vixen's lovely daughter.
Charmer: "Hello, Mom! Did we wake you up too early?"
Vixen: "Oh no, my dear Charmer. You and Whisper are always welcome here."
Vixen is very happy to see her daughter and daughter-in-law come and visit her, especially on a rainy day. She got up and sat down and smiled a little cautiously, but at the same time a little curious about what they had in their hearts. Whisper explained that she was a little worried about Scarlet who was both distraught and sad about her poor son, little Bold, after he saved his mother's life. Vixen understood their reasoning and sighed softly.
Vixen: "Don't worry. Little Bold will probably be fine again. But it would have been even worse if he made us all unhappy, if he had been killed. And poor Scarlet would have been devastated."
Charmer: "That's clear, Mom. But Whisper also told me that she was worried about Plucky's brave son, who is as strong as his father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, that he would suffer the same fate as my brother, Bold."
Whisper: "Exactly. And now little Bold has a similar scar on his left cheek and near his one eye, just like his grandfather's."
Vixen: "Well, sometimes you can't change yourself and your instincts of courage. They have been inherited from my beloved husband, you see?"
Charmer: "Yes, and we understood that too."
Vixen: "And when I heard what happened and saw what he looked like after the battle with the blue and gray foxes, I hardly dared to think about what could have happened, if I had lost him... forever."
Whisper: "But at least we managed to save Fox in the last minutes, Vixen. And then they retreated, after their leader Tyran appeared and said that it would not be the last time."
Vixen: "That's right, Whisper. It's not over, I'm afraid. Fox told me that peace is over. Let's hope they're not planning to attack us all."
Charmer: "Yeah, I really hope they're not do it."
Whisper: "And I also agree with you two in the same opinion. I also don't like any violence at all."
Both old Vixen and Charmer nodded their heads and agreed with Whisper's opinion. But Vixen was still happy to have a visitor anyway, they sat and discussed a few things and tried to think of something else for the time being. But their hopes would not be as they had imagined. And Whisper wonders if she'll ever see her lovely daughter, Windy. But her mother-in-law sensed that she would soon be home in Farthing country, which encouraged Whisper a little more cheerfully and hopefully.
