I find it crazy how Don Bluth took an obscure French play about a rooster and made it a story about a live action little boy on a 1950s American farm turning into a cartoon kitten during a flood and going on an adventure to convince the Rooster to quit his job as an Elvis Impersonator in a city in order to bring the sun back and defeat an evil owl.
