Okay, first, this is completely 'Alternate Universe' / absolutely NOT canon! I was inspired by a really weird dream I had the night before that I am entirely blaming on all my new-mommy friends. You guys put newborns on the brain!

Anyway, the dream was simply that -way down the road and SOMEHOW- Blade and Marijke got pregnant (got married), and had a baby, a boy (who coincidentally got Marijke's nosey, but more of Blade's muzzle).


Perhaps the most interesting part of the dream was when Blade explains to Katya how it works with pokémon when she inquires as to why the baby doesn't actually look much like either Blade or Marijke. - Blade's reasoning is that in mixed-species with pokémorphs, the baby inherits its mother's species, not its father's (which I'm almost CERTAIN isn't something *I* came up with, 'cause it sounds terribly familiar) - but, obviously, pokémorphs are the more dominant genetically speaking in the case of 'normal animals', since Marijke still popped out an eevee instead of a cheetah kitten. And, explained that it doesn't have Blade's markings because "baby umbreons" are eevees.
(Yes, I have... weird dreams, sometimes - though I generally like the reasoning.)

This baby never really got named in the dream, though I'll admit that as far as I can REMEMBER, the name 'Dominic' was being considered by Marijke (who was awarded the honour of doing the naming, becuase Blade said that if it weren't for her, the baby wouldn't be there, she did all the work and thus, deserves the privelage -- Which one could probably take to mean that Blade would have voted for aborting, wasn't the one having to go potty every ten minutes, and has no clue what to name a kid anyway).
Note: 'Dominic Lorenz' is Blade's real name, but since he specifically doesn't like using it and makes this well known to his friends, I can't see Marijke actually naming their kid that, in the event they ever had a kid outside of my dream.

However, this actual pic was inspired by one scene I remember pretty vividly of Blade holding his son whilst Marijke's sleeping and having a bit of a moving moment when the child grabs his finger unexpectedly. Caught off gaurd, Blade freezes up and finds himself actually moved.
(I, however, just added the text in myself, to make the whole thing make a little more sense for Blade - because I can't see him ever actually admitting to being moved by/bonding with a baby, even his own. OH! And 'cause it might be confusing what he actually means - and could sound really BAD on this site - it's him admitting to himself that he's actually moved by his son, then murmering aloud to the child not to tell Marij about that.)


Note: As said, this was just a dream, but it was too cute NOT to draw an image from. But, it would be very difficult for this to ever become Musicpsycho canon, because Blade is snipped (years before he got together with Marijke).

Um... and yes, I think this does not really look like a less-than-a-week-old newborn. But, look, I drew an eevee!
