When faced with an unscheduled change in my itinerary, I was lucky enough to book a four-star hotel at two-star prices (thanks, priceline). Compared to my usual stays in hostels, this was the utmost in luxury.

The hotel was a little old; the second and third lines here are reproduced verbatim from the room's information folder. There were also quotes like "Your computer's modem must follow the analogue tone standard" and "It is possible to retrieve electronic mail through our telephone lines."
