Mina had them pegged as time travelers almost from the moment she saw them.

Their clothing was slightly off, their speech patterns even more so. No one else was bothered by it—the market was a cacophony of tongues—but only Mina could place the 21st century North American accent emanating from the mustelid.

She'd suspected that if she waited long enough that Captain Barefang's cohorts would reveal themselves. She just wasn't expecting them to be so... amateurish. They weren't even making an attempt at lying low. They were just out and about like tourists on a shopping trip.

She ultimately decided against confronting them at this moment. Perhaps, while she was on the lookout for someone like them, they were on the lookout for her. If she were aiming to "clear the field" she might try drawing attention to herself exactly as they were.

No, for the time being she would stick to keeping her eye and ears open.

And there was the fact that one of them appeared to be a wombat. HQ would definitely be interested to hear about that...
