A "remake" of sorts of an old work https://www.furaffinity.net/view/35272964/
Shadi's favourite instrument is the oud, but she's always had a talent for music and singing in general, and as she becomes more of a professional in the field she'd start mastering more and more instruments, like a Sitar in this case. The land of the Ajshar catfolk is sandwiched between the equivalents of India and Africa of my setting, so there's a lot of cultural overlap in some areas.
Also, as time went on Shadi stopped being obsessively secretive about being a woman and started exploring a bit her feminine side. She does what she wants, no matter what others might think of her! :P

Every time I see anthros playing stringed instruments, I always wonder; where do claws land?
Are they helpful? Like being used as picks?
Something to watch? Lest you snap a string on them?
Somewhere in the middle?
And yes, I also love the artwork. She seems to be enjoying herself.

Alanis Morissette would love that henna
interesting to see one playing an instrument like a sitar in this world
What does their music sound like? Is it meditative, droning? Is it full of energy, like the lutes of the 15th century? Does it include a story, like the one Peter Pringle video about the Epic of Gilgamesh in Sumerian?
