Some info for them to share that the customer provided for me based on his ideas so far :)
Patricia the Pony - An innocent and sweet little pony who lives on a farm with a bunch of other larger horses. These other horses cruelly ostracize Pam for her small size, in a similar way to those other elephants in Dumbo, so she ends up running away.
Howard the Black Stork - A member of a baby delivery service, Howard isn't very competent and is constantly screwing up his work. He's tired of delivering babies and wishes to be a father himself, which the other storks look down on him for. He then quits and joins Pam, becoming a surrogate father to her (Alec says his black feathers are more of a visual representation of him not fitting in with the other storks, but not anything race related, but he'll probably be more LGBT+ or neurodivergent-coded)
Al the Owl - He's initially set up as a con artist who pretends to be wise so he can swindle people with fake knowledge, but it turns out he's actually insecure about his low intelligence and wishes to be smarter so he can live up to the wise owl stereotype. He could see him going through an arc of learning he's smart in his own way.
Sylvia the wolf - My friend imagines her as having a tough and aggressive but motherly personality, and I had an idea for a scene where she sings a violent wolf lullaby to Pam, which surprisingly actually works. She saves Pam from some sort of threat, which causes her three gossipy sisters to tease her for going soft, which she denies before she joins Pam and Howard.
