Lore: The Beckon are a musical race of miscreants that inhabit untended places, born from musical instruments that have become possessed by the lingering spiritual energies found in deserted shrines. Unlike their rivals, the Will-o-wisps, Beckon use their metallic bodies to clink and chime, emulating sounds uncommon to the terrains they haunt. This leads to much less consistent results that luring traveler with a light source however, leading to many Beckon having a hard time accomplishing their goals, be it leading travelers down a dangerous path or spooking them away from greater dangers. It is likely because of these inadequacies that no one can agree on whether Beckon are truly malevolent or friendly in nature.
