I had a waking mood to paint him for the first time a couple of days ago. His Soul Jam, eyes, the crosses on the metallic gold painted eyes on the background, plus the blue stars have blue glow in the dark paint on them, so in fact, the piece does glow in the dark when I flash my UV flashlight on it. From sketch to completion, this very piece took me around 9-10 hours (3 hours to make out the pencil sketch, 6-7 hours to paint).
I was also loosely inspired from Art and Pennywise while I was making the face out, henceforth the menacing, toothy grin. It's something of his character to bring out his canonical Beast of Deceit to him. Speaking of how much blue paint I had, I had several shades to work with, so this is why he was pretty easy to paint out. There were a few parts I had to color match, such as the Soul Jam, blue parts of sleeves,hair, and the eye markings to be exact. His eyes were the least difficult to paint out, but the Soul Jam, plus the blue stripes of his sleeves took me a bit longer to get to the desired pitch/shade.
