This is somewhat of a cross between a badge and a portrait for TK Otter. He’s rollerblading to his p-chem lab. It’s no commission: he was only my best friend for 4 years and a perfect roommate for 3 years. I’m so lucky to have known him; I miss him dearly. He’s off at MIT for 7 years so he’d better recognize that building.
It’s done with Prisma markers and colored pencils, and Pigma Microns. A few months ago people started asking why I didn’t do physical media – too many often expressed a kind of pride about their traditional-only media abilities. So, with this I say, yes, I too can render by hand.

Oh you did an awesome job on this one! I love the expression that you gave him and the MIT building in the background. Amazing work on the coloring! This was very impressive to have seen in person and the detail that you add to your art is spectacular. Great job!
