‘I play so people can remember I wasn’t always a monster.’
Before the army came, before the war that followed. A young university student came to this cafe every day to play for the crowd.
They would play until their coffee came, then they would be off without a word.
The war is over, but that small university student doesn’t play the piano anymore.
People remember the music, remember the face. But what came back from the war is hardly the person they remember, but just because they are now a monster doesn’t meant they aren’t still a musician at heart.
Aye something a bit more soft for the semi apocalyptic distopia setting I got on the back burner.
Enjoy the art.
