Attack of The 50 (Trillion Plus) Foot Binky
It’s not every day that you head up into the attic to take a look at what might be up there, hiding under the inches of dust - and it’s also not every day that you find an old cassette tape and a player to put it in. It’s been so long since you last watched Pocket Dragon Adventures that the only memories you have of it can barely even be called such to begin with - but on some level, you remember Binky. You remember liking her, for some reason you can’t quite recall. Maybe it was because she had an episode where she grew bigger.
Probably. Especially given the tape is wound to that specific episode, right before Binky begins to grow - and grow - and grow.

A couple of months back in my 1000 watchers journal I mentioned that a relatively significant formative experience for my younger self - specifically, the Pocket Dragon Adventures episode Attack of The 50 Foot Binky (or at least Temdant’s old upload of the growth scenes) probably being the first time I ever explicitly wanted a giant character to keep growing bigger. I also mentioned that I still have a giant soft spot for Binky to this very day because of it - and so, when trying to figure what to work on next, I figured - why not try something with her?
In terms of the writing process, I’m happy to report this went very smoothly - another one of those stories that I zip through from beginning to end with barely a single pause needed. I’m especially happy that happened with this story - not just because it’s Binky, but also because I took this story in particular as a good chance to finally get around to practice character voice writing, something I’ve meant to do for literally years now, and which has always been a pretty big weakness of mine (there’s a reason there’s no growy fanfics of pre-existing characters on my gallery until now!). Hopefully things are alright on that front!
One other thing I wanted to mention is that, as far as I can tell, this might actually be the first piece of macro media on the site involving Binky - at the very least, I wasn’t able to find any despite a relatively thorough search (something not helped by ‘Binky’ also being both a character from Arthur and a generic nickname for a dummy/pacifier). It’s always a little funny when something that’s so foundational to you ends up being incredibly niche, or perhaps something that at one point was popular but so far in the past whatever fan-media might have been made for it has retreated into complete obscurity.

It may be tricky in my case, cuz my awakening was probably Munchy from The Munchables (who didn't have any dialogue), Hungry Lumas from Mario Galaxy, or Jigglypuff's Puff Up glitch on Bridge of Eldin. But I bet I can make it work >:3c

I’m also a huge fan of cartoon episodes with growth, the “attack of the 50-foot something” is one of my favorite tropes, especially when it’s not really 50 feet but mote like 500... no, 5000... no, 5000 miles...
I remember this episode, Temdant's video is saved on my hard drive, with a couple of others. My current RP (which you can read in my Jorunals, hehe) is actually based on a Chip and Dale episode (“Fake Me to Your Leader”), where a gigantico ray causes growth whenever the target eats...
Another favorite is the Tom and Jerry episode “Is There a Doctor in the Mouse?” Where Jerry accidentally makes a growth potion in the end of the episode.
Or the Little Mermaid episode “Tank you for Dat, Ariel”, where Ariel cast a spell on Sebastian to grow bigger and he keeps growing and growing!
Or the Krypto the Superdog episode “A Bug’s Strife” where a caterpillar is shot by a growth ray (Ignatius, Luthor’s pet iguana wants to supersize his lunch) but he is getting bigger and bigger...
Or the Gummi Bears episode “Do Unto Ogres” where Sunni creates a growth potion, but drops in in a well, and the smallest ogre fells into the well later... When the ground starts to bend up, that is pure joy. :D
I can go on and on, but these are my favorites and most memorable ones. And of course Binky! If I had the time I would write a fanfic for all of them, retelling the tale but making them growing bigger, and bigger, and bigger... *shrieks*

sorry to double dip,but if might suggest a potential subject for a future story,that being cassie from dragon tales.who knows,maybe some magic causes her little shrinks when sad thing to work the other way and respond to a different emotion or something else entirely.just a suggestion mind,i understand if you have other ideas,just wanted to offer this up.
