As an adventurer, I've been through many exciting situations, often scary and thrilling, risky and even more than once, extremely intense. But little I know this one was going to be one of the most exciting and rewarding adventure I got through.

I came back from an expedition early in the morning and all seemed normal, my mate was asleep on bed, my spot saved so, I went for a shower, a warm one to be exact as I needed to relax. And then as per usual, while my hair and mane dried and trust me it takes quite a bit of time for it, decided to cook a nice breakfast, nothing too complex as I was really tired. Still I wanted to make something special for her, decided to go for a mixed sandwich with some nice and fresh orange juice along with a charged black coffee with honey.

Once my task was done I just snuggled with Ruby and drifted off, again just as every night, but then, when I woke, she was gone, confused I walked into the kitchen. A smile formed in my face when I spotted the empty glass of juice and the plate. Then I saw a post it on the fridge, a photo revealed once I removed it. The photo captured the moment we first met, and had instructions telling me to "go to the basement", it was some kind of follow the clues game.

One by one, each clue lead me to a special moment in our relationship, our first adventure together, our escape from a gang of slavers, our very first relic discovery... I followed all of them until I reached the garden. Ruby was there, standing, smiling at me with both a nervous smile and radiating energy, mixed with a lot of excitement. Suddenly when I walked up to her, she kneeled.

Surprised by this I silently stared, "What is she thinking now?" I thought, just before she pick a small box out of her pocket and opened it. My eyes watered and my legs started to tremble with emotion, it was real?! It felt like a dream! She then began to speak.

"Orthas, these past 6 months have been the most amazing of my entire life, the utter joy you bring me is beyond measure, you brighten my day no matter what may be happening, you are always there for me when I need you most, and you are the most amazing, sweetest, most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my life, a life that I want to spend the rest of with you, so my darling, my shimmering obsidian, I only have one question"

She then raised the box and stared at my eyes, her blue shining eyes swimming in mine, I knew what she was about to ask...

"Will you marry me?"

And the answer was more than obvious!

"Of course I will, my nether star"

I couldn't hold it any longer and hurled myself into her arms, hugging her tightly all the while kissing and nuzzling her in pure happiness, both of us crying of pure joy. Out of all of my adventures this was going to be one of the most important and best one...of my life.
