This shirt was one of several designed thoughtfully (sometimes not) for Megaplex 10: Retro Arcade
Day 2 – Saturday
Composed of T-shirt gel, marker, and some felt. Left = front, right = back
This ‘design’ came from the idea that there is always THAT GUY in online video games. You know, the one that is off somewhere in the distance racking up points, kills, or whatever. Well, when you approach that guy, he technically becomes THIS GUY mere inches away in face to face contact. So there was a joke to this: when someone would see me from behind and make a comment about me being “that guy,” I turn around and point to my front, saying: “I’m this guy.”
Dr. Kage did say: “Hey, it’s that guy” at the sponsor luncheon, but I was in a hurry to pick up one of my commissions and replied “Hey” totally missing out on my opportunity to play the shirt. Oh well, Dr. Kage noticed and that’s good enough for me.
