If you wish to know about the MALAKAS Project, go to Timothy Soro's entry here for more info about the project.
Description:
Sebastian Solace wasn't exactly was he used to be. Born as a Chilean lizard with US citizenship, he used to have a good and kind life, as fondly recalled by his family and his wife. However in 2013, for motives unknown, he got falsely charged for murder and sentenced to the electric chair, before he ended up being swooped in by the shady Danish multinational organization named "Urbanshade" with a falsified execution report.
He was taken into the Hadal Blacksite, a secret underwater research facility built by Urbanshade, where he would undergo DNA-mixing experiments with deep sea creatures against his will in 2015. Seven months later, murder charges against him were cleared off but kept in secret by Urbanshade behind his back, not even with a possibility of his release from imprisonment, not helping with the fact that Sebastian had become a sea mutant abomination (specifically consisting of an anglerfish lure/esca, three glowing eyes, a couple of fins, an extra arm underneath the left one, large tail fin, and light blue fish scales across his body) for the rest of his life, all thanks to previous experiments. This excruciating experience was exactly why he had serious resentment against Urbanshade as the whole. Even if he was granted better living conditions as a prisoner, it didn't stop him from forcing a site-wide lockdown in 2025, wrecking havoc inside the facility with other monsters released within, and allowing himself to contact other companies who opposed Urbanshade.
The best company he was able to contact with was Innovation Inc., which not only had become more competitive against Urbanshade, but also had the right technology to help reverse Sebastian's mutation. Some week or month after having sabotaged the Hadal Blacksite, Sebastian began to notice the arrival of other prisoners sent by Urbanshade. Much to his bewilderment and dismay, they didn't come to make him pay for his actions, but rather to obtain supplies from him, since he was once assigned to do underwater equipment maintenance right after the last experiment placed onto him. Despite his indifference towards those prisoners who needed his supplies just to obtain Z-2 crystals left behind within the facility already packed with monsters, he realized that by trading items with up-and-coming prisoners, he could be able to sell data and research to Innovation, Inc., and hopefully they could send their men to extract him out and turn him back to normal. It was currently unknown on how many prisoners who had died trying to extract those crytals, and whoever survived that and got pardoned refused to speak out, mostly out of fear and distrust towards Urbanshade and what it was capable of.
However one year later, Urbanshade was able to reclaim the Habal Blacksite and end its lockdown, putting all entities back to their cells, restoring the site's power, and executing only one monster, the site's first test subject now deemed too dangerous, in form of a bull shark with a lot of green glowing eyes. The only entity who was able to escape was Sebastian Solice (and somewhat his new computer friend) via Innovation Inc.'s extraction team.
Unfortunately for Sebastian a month later, Urbanshade had found out in full depth about his involvement behind the Blacksite's forced lockdown, with most if not all relevant information obtained from some pardoned prisoners whom they kidnapped out of suspicion and tortured for more info. While its operatives were at worst uncaring about work ethics anyway, not even when Sebastian's lockdown left remaining workers there to die, they were deeply appalled with him selling out critical data to their rival companies. In secret retaliation, Urbanshade had sent multitudes of assassins and sabotaurs to end each and every opposing company across the world, and not even Innovation Inc. was safe from Urbanshade's wrath. In regards to possible witnesses, they went as far as to destroy nearby places and eliminate anyone staying there. Consequently, they also found out and destroyed the technological means to reverse mutations by Innovation Inc. for good, and left the exact message to Sebastian, just to rub him in. Completely horrified and enraged by such atrocity, Sebastian went out of hiding and attacked the saboteurs, only to eventually pass out right after literally the heart from one last man.
A day later, Sebastian woke up and found himself in Mt. Tingganda Military Base, California, shocked and blushing at the sight of many bodybuilders working out outside. Finding himself in a single bunker, he was then met by Christopher North, who welcomed him to the MALAKAS Project. The said project just happened to be the least concerned thing to Sebastian worth selling to at the time, as they admittedly didn't have any specific means to turn him back. That also meant that Christopher wasn't able to learn most of what Urbanshade had been doing the whole time, and it had now become a shock to him when he heard from the sea mutant. With that said though, what Sebastian liked about the MALAKAS Project was its bodybuilding technology and its benefits, in which Chris was more than happy to provide, though the sea mutant was advised not to tell everyone on what he'd been through, lest they could gain unwanted attention from Urbanshade.
Driven by revenge, Sebastian went on working out for few months, even during breaks, though he had enough time to rest and had a neutral chat with other Recruits, but even then, he barely had time to enjoy the little bits of his time, fearing that unless Urbanshade was put to complete stop, he wouldn't be able to return to his regular life, free from fear and secrecy. He even accepted gaining the Titan power, in hopes of overpowering Urbanshade's biggest or most powerful weapons in store. On the day of his honorable discharged, he wasted no time slithering out of the mountain base to pursue his vengence, even ignoring the bus waiting outside. However, he also knew he couldn't go at that shady conglomorate with just his bare hands, so he brought along a small but powerful arsenal from the mountain base, including a couple of railgun firearms and a pair of electrical kampilan swords.
