When Nur reached adulthood, him and his twin brother Kor followed their father Rahan and other village warriors to war, where they'd either die or cover themselves in glory and return as a fully fledged warriors.
Wars in the area are usually small skirmishes, but this one was different. While the westwards expansion of the human Empire of Laatven was stopped, the Ajshar achieved this only with a never-before-seen alliance of all regional powers and 3 years of brutal fighting. Rahan and Kor both lost their lives throughout the war, together with most of the warriors from their village, and Nur was left severely mutilated.
Nur's mothers, Nireth (left) and Khori (right) had to keep it together for the sake of their children, and showed an extraordinary strength while doing so, but the first few months were extremely rough on them. Not only one of their children had died and the other was an emotional wreck, Rahan was the love of their life, a kind and supportive husband who saw them as his equals and sought their advice, something not common in their society, which made things ever harder.
(For the record, in Nur's society it's normal for high caste men to have more than one wife, and Nur sees both Nireth and Khori equally as his mothers, although Khori is his bio mom)

Another scene where your skill of showing strong feelings shines. Looks horrifying. I love how each picture gives another piece of story about your characters. Even if it a scene like this.
You affection for a mix of terrible violence, silly jokes and romance is something I worship. You’re really great at showing all sides of life.
Can’t wait for the next day.

A fairly simple sketchy drawing once more shows how much depth you can put in an image. The focus is on the women and their expressions, their words. But to me, the broken crockery and the dripping stain on the wall behind them does just as much to amp up the emotional impact.
Thank you once again for being so awesome.
