They say someone is more appealing when they're in uniform, and since Shiron canonically doesn't really have a standard ''job'' in the anime. He'd make a fine mail courier after the royalties from the series have somewhat stagnated! Though, his weight certainly has not...
Either the culprit for said weight gain is those royalties, or his mail route consists of kind granmas who answer the door with freshly baked cookies, insisting Shiron has just ooone bite. There's plenty of cheek for them to pinch this rate!
It always makes me happy seeing Shiron being drawn even to this day, the series it's based on is decades old and the characters still live on in the art people make, it's pretty cool. I'm happy to be able to add to it
I'm further experimenting with a new style of painting certain background elements. I loved painting a dreamy and swirly sky in the deer piece from a couple months back, and I don't like painting trees usually. Turns out I wasn't using a method that was fun for me! I hope it makes you think of Van Gogh's Starry Sky, as that was a big inspiration for it. I love how the sky and all within seems to flow like water, melting into it as it were. Or I should say, flows like a heavy, sturdy gust of wind ☁️🐲

I love what you've done with the background on this one, Luke, the swirling lines in the sky, the slightly curved trees you always seem to make your pictures feel lived in, like there's a whole other story in the background that we don't see but are curious enough to know about
