I'm a huge fan of electronic dance music, especially techno of various styles, producing tracks and occasionally DJing as a hobby. These are traits that I've passed onto Fabby's girlfriend (if it wasn't obvious by the T-shirts featuring electronic labels she always wears), and I wanted to show her rave loving side in a piece.

This illustration has a bit of a complicated history. The original composition and sketch was done by  BianfuArt, who has done a lovely job with my characters before. My original concept was a lot simpler, with Kaylee DJing alone in her bedroom, but together we expanded on the idea, and it seemed like the piece was coming together very nicely. Problem was that due to personal reasons, Bianfu became unable to work on this commission past the sketch phase. With her permission, however, I received the sketch and her ok for me to either finish this piece myself or let another artist do the job for me.

The sketch was lying dormant for roughly a month, until I thought of an ideal artist for finishing the illustration:  Lisbeth_lindan. I was impressed by her colouring and rendering for the Bia piece she did, and after reaching out to her, she was in for my request to do these steps. A few weeks passed and when I received the final drawing, I knew I picked the right person for the task. She did excellent work, taking the foundations Bianfu's sketch set and polishing it into this wonderful piece!
