As both the summer and Kaylee's stay in NYC come to an end, she and her mother Doris, who the young feline was visiting, decide to have one last scoop of ice cream. Or two in the case of Kay.
There had been a very distinct lack of cute mother/daughter interactions between Doris & Kaylee in my gallery. Canonically, the two have a very close & trusting relationship and while this is something I bring up when talking about my cast's lore, I actually haven't done much with it in art. It was due time then to remedy this.
GalaxiMonkey was the prefect artist for the concept (which originated from a friend telling my the cats' colour palette reminded them of chocolate ice cream) and I couldn't be any happier with their execution. They just look so cute here! The way Doris is drawn with rounder features (like with her ears and her tail) compared to her child is also a very nice decision and something I might carry over for future drawings of her.
(Also yeah, one of Kaylee's scoops is indeed supposed to represent Fabby, and yes, him being on bottom was a very conscious decision. I won't make any comments or jokes about this on my own, as they write from themselves.)

First thing I noticed about Doris' jeans was how much they were getting filled. Gala gave her (and Kaylee, to a lesser extent) such thick thighs goddamn 👀
The jeans do look really good on her. Overall I really like the way Gala drew her. Might ask her to draw the lady again sometime in the future.
