I asked Xeon to recast the magic, then used a digital camera to take a picture of it.
Just kidding ♪ This was all done with Photoshop CS3.
- To make the leaves, I enabled the scatter feature on the brush, giving me a cluster of leaves in one brush stroke.
- To make the leaves glow, I used the outer glow and inner shadow feature.
- The dispersing green aura of the leaves was actually painted manually on background layer, using a custom brush with a crisp texture, gradually adding a lighter tone each time until I got the amount of contrast I'm happy with C:
