And Can Ya Teach Me How To Dance Real Slow?
"...Did you write the Book of Love
And do you have faith in God above
If the Bible tells you so
And do you believe in rock n' roll
Can music save your mortal soul
And can you teach me how to dance real slow?
Well, I know that you're in love with him
'Cause I saw you dancin' in the gym
You both kicked off your shoes
Man, I dig those rhythm & blues!
I was a lonely, teenage broncin' buck
With a pink carnation and a pickup truck
But I knew I was out of luck
The day the music died
I started singin'
So, bye-bye, Miss American Pie
Drove my chevy to the levee
But the levee was dry
And them good old boys were drinkin' whiskey and rye
Singin' this'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die..."
-American Pie by Don McLean
Trying to get better with digital stuff. Just foolin' around with a sketch I had and what I remember of how to warp vector graphics and shit.
Other than that, just working with different positions and such. Just Wielder with her cheap-ass Samsung MP3 player, acting like an idiot. She's precious like that.
Done in Photoshop CS3.

I love that song. Zomg!
I know what you mean about appreciating the song. I had an American History teacher in high school that played it during class and sort of laid out each of the symbolic lines of the song and what it probably meant in the timeline of the narrator's life. It was pretty neat. We did that with We Didn't Start The Fire by Billy Joel too. It was a fun sort of day.
thanks so much!

Oh god, I wish I had a history teacher that cool when I was in high school. Hell, I wish I had ANY teacher at school that was awesome like that. All of my teachers were lazy, apathetic bitches. >.> So jealous! XD
Also, "We Didn't Start The Fire" is a fucking badass song. Just sayin'.

Awww, thanks so much! I think most girls look quite sassy when they're dancing and don't think anyone's watching.
Lol, I won't kill you, but I myself haven't worn a dress since my own wedding (seven years ago), and I wouldn't have worn one then if I could have gotten away with wearing a suit.

It's a TINY little clip thing...but it can take a hell of a lot of damage. I run through sprinklers with that thing on while I'm walking my dogs, I've stepped on it, dropped it, thrown it...best thirty dollars I ever spent. It's simple, won't play movies or anything, but it gets the job done.
And thank you so much!

Is it sad that I know the Weird-Al parody 'The Saga Begins' better than I know the original?

Lol, it's okay, marriage is for better or worse, after all! Besides, he watches the occasional bad horror flick for me, so it evens out.
Ooooo, I'll definitely be on the look out for it. Even if I sometimes don't get to your chapters quickly, just know that I do enjoy reading them. You're very good at writing.
And, damn, I'm sorry for the terrible typos in my previous comment. Goddamn my retard typing.

Hmmmm, since everyone feels the need to share their irrelevant opinions with me tonight, here we go because friendship is magic and sharing is caring:
Weird Al reminds me of things I've never laughed at. In fact, it reminds me of how sometimes the three minutes it takes to suffer through one of his songs should be cause enough to put me under like I'm having major surgery.
Elvis Presley, I won't lie, I like some of his music. Hell, gotta give the man a respectful nod of the head.
HOWEVER. One of the main subjects of the song American Pie is the death of three people who catalyzed the musical revolution that would become rock and roll as we know it today. Buddy Holly is the one most people associate with the song, but there were two others who went down in the fateful plane crash with him. The rest of the song describes a tumultuous period of American history and deals with the narrator (a young teenage boy) making it through these events without the simple pleasure of the music he loved so much.
All of my sarcasm and mild bitterness aside, you really ought to think twice before you post irrelevant stuff on someone's artwork. This is not the forum for random commentary on stuff that really doesn't deal with the art. There are general forums on the Furaffinity Forums that might be appropriate for this line of conversation.

You've certainly got a different style when it comes to digital work, but it still looks awesome.
I definitely get the dancing vibe from this piece. The way the cord is swinging out from her body probably sold that the most. It's definitely a rock-out pose, and curving the notes around Wielder's body ties the whole thing together nicely.
At first, the way the colors change, especially from her belt down to her feet, I thought there might be a strobe light or something going on, but whatever the case, it looks great.
Well done, as always. Keep up the great work.

God, curving those vector graphics in photoshop was like pulling teeth. You see, Photoshop and I are old enemies...very old enemies.
I'm glad it all came together to look at least halfway decent, and I thank you for the wonderful compliments. Lets me know I'm sort of on the right track with my digital work. The colors are meant to make her look like she's lit by a multi-colored lightsource...possibly the music notes themselves, maybe a strobe, but I'm glad I got that sort of look going on.
thanks so much!

Am I the only person that noticed the staff not having the proper 5 lines/4 spaces? Damn my background in orchestral music. I keep drifting to the almost-stave and going "Where are the time marks? the last line?" Otherwise, this is quite lovely, nice job. And no, I'm not trying to be a jerk, I'm just tired and fixated. xD
