Rubber Jackal symbiote TF 3/3 [Tame version]
And this is it.
The mask takes over Wheaton's face, finally, where the latter expected to suffocate to death, he instead discovers he's still breathing, living, but not so much in command of his own body anymore.
Meet "Jack", or Jackal, which is a more appropriate term. Though, the rubbery critter is more fond of the more modern nickname he's using, after a little look in Wheaton's memories.
What? For eternity? Does he know that whoever built the Palace left since long? I hope he'll learn eough from the Arcy to realize how different things became.
Background Lore Facts: Jack is a 2400 years old, latex-based symbiote created using the most forbidden and advanced alchemical knowledges prior to Ancient Egypt's fall ( or whatever more precise period any Egyptian History nerd will fix me with ). Apparently created to guard over the "Sacred Palace" he was assigned to, Jack is originally no more than a barely instinct based, never-aging rubbery symbiote, with the rough shape of a skeleton.
Unlike in his basic, fearsome form, having a host makes him inherit whole knowledge and almost all of the personality traits of his carrier, effectively sharing a similar way of speaking, acting and reasoning. His mission, however, remains the same: protect and guard the Palace at all costs, unless Wheaton eventually makes him see the light one day.
To prevent the host from becoming too bored however, he's able to distract his "partner" in an inside, surrealistic imaginary haven, where he can perform any kind of fantasy/act with his soul mate (the limits being that of the host's knowledge ).
However, a precise warning about this last statement is that his alignment, being originally purely neutral, becomes that of his host once he's got one; Read: if he takes over a chaotic, avid warrior, it's quite probable that Jack will supress most of his host's personality to stay "the master in command" himself.
The opposite works just as well. As mentionned above, Jack's neither orginally good nor evil, he'll just adopt the host's behavior.
