There are so many original species in the world, so I hope my ideas don't coincide with anyone else's.
My race for the setting. These are semi-open species. What does that mean? It means that to create them, you must follow the rules, and if you don't like some of their basic features, make something else and don't name your creatures after these.
What NOT to do:
-Make it a race in your setting. You can do it with individual characters, but not as a race.
-adopts. You can only create them for yourself, give them away, and exchange them. You can order them from others.
These creatures live in the mountains and mainly in cold climates, they have very fluffy tails to wrap themselves in. They are not bald, so don't draw them bald (in my world, there are spells and amulets for shape-shifting, but they don't see the aesthetic appeal in a bald body, and bald ones can be branded as freaks).
Common features:
-Large hands
-Almond-shaped eyes and round pupils
-Fluffy nose bump
-Long, fluffy tail
-4 fingers on hands and 5 on feet, fluffy fingers
-Curved claws, NOT NAILS
-Curly, medium-length hair
-Long, narrow ears that DO NOT STAND UP
-Natural colors with stripes, spots, and warm shades of orange, red, beige, gray, black, brown. There are gradients too. Сoloration may be asymmetrical
-Very small forehead, almost non-existent
-Well-defined eyebrows
-Thick, forked tongue, not snake-like, not narrow
-Women of this species do not have breasts
-They don't have whisker pads
What they most often change with magic:
-When going out into a multiracial city, they can change the size of their hands to use standard objects. But this is a temporary measure. Many in this world can temporarily remove their claws, change their height, change their limbs (this is what wyverns do)
-They grow horns, most often straight or small and curved.
-Some change their color. This is rare. The most popular color for them is pastel blue.
-They can wear lenses, so they can change their eye color even without magic.
-There are no cyborgs in their world; limbs are replaced magically, so in order to have a cyborg, the character must be in your setting.
Do not overuse transformation magic.
