Testing eye painting on resin blanks. But these blanks aren't the sort I want to use. They're too shallow and don't really create a follow-me effect. I've bought some acrylic spheres so I can cast my own blanks of varying depths to see what works best. ^^
With a bit of practice I think I'll be able to paint some decent eyes. lol

=< i'm sorry they weren't deep enough for you. Usually you cast two pairs and glue them together. Then paint the other side of the sphere for a follow effect (I think?).
this video isn't very good at showing the other side ,but you can kinda tell there is another half sphere under the top one =D.

I hope that helps a bit n.n.

I'd seen the rough edge done on another set of eyes and wanted to try it myself. I think the main problem is the pupils are too large. lol xD
If I want I could create a perfect sphere by applying a large glob of paint via paintbrush and then just letting it set in the circle it creates by gravity. But I figured I'd test the rough edged effect first. xD
Just waiting on my spheres and new casting kit to get the others done. ;3, More work to be done on the Bernese dog body-suit in any case. xD
