When Barson first arrived in Paradise, he was separated from his Ursaring partner, Brunn. It was a time of sadness and loneliness for the poor Zigzagoon, so one day, he took his best friend Samson out to the shores of Beachton, to light some candles and send them out to sea, in honor of Brunn and all those left behind.
This event has caught on, and has since become a yearly tradition. He and Brunn have since been reunited (and are now engaged!), but Barson still attends the event to remember those others left behind. Gone, but not forgotten.
