=Update Note=: Actually I didn't notice until I just happened to be browsing the wiki for some information on a particular episode when one of those little "Related Page" links showed a white pegasus with blue hair, blue eyes, and a lightning bolt cutie mark (althought more reminscent of Dash's, being attached to a cloud) actually named 'Lightning Bolt'. I swear if this series actually bothered to really introduced all these characters instead of leaving them as recurring extras in the background, we wouldn't have terrible (though lovable) tragedies like Derpy Hooves xD

you know, looking back on the older series really makes you realize how odd some of the design choices were. I mean granted the FIM Ponies are nothing but a bunch of circles, swoops, curls and noodles, but geez the limitations of the roundish molds on the older ones... urgh. Actually I wouldn't mind seeing a fully antlered recreation in the new series. Obviously we meet alot of species other than the various ponies early on and more still as the series goes on, so maybe it's only a matter of time... OH! Maybe a christmas episode! that'll be joy.

No, the episode was more about the changing of seasons from winter to spring, which the ponies literally change the seasons themselves. I think the studio knew well enough that it might have been too early in the series for them to pull off a specific holiday episode, which might be more likely this year, and that's really IF they ever do one. who knows if they want to step on toes with this whole 'my holiday is better' thing that's been going on for years now...
