I'm still looking for more information. Maru knows a little about how this... symbiotic relationship works, but it's clear that we don't know the full picture.
Curiosity gets the better of me. The only way to get more info is straight the horse's mouth. I managed to find the lab's email server. Getting into one is not that hard when one of the employee’s password is just... "password"... I don't think I should complain about their password strength, or lack of it.
Hmm... I guess I'm not surprised they are looking to take me back. Wonder how expensive I am...

Congrats on your promotion as ██████████! You hard work and dedication makes you truly deserving of you new role.
As you step into your new position, you can expect projects that are confidential. Specifically, our department mainly wants you to help with Topaz: a project that we unfortunately lost recently. He is a dragon with a fully robotic brain, created by Dr. L████ A██. He is intended for research in order to understand consciousness, and a potential innovative breakthrough in man-made cognition. Alongside is Motivation & Affection Regulating Unit (MARU). They are supposed to help with “turning on” Topaz’s emotions. However, on 3 Mar ████, at 2:██ am, MARU have made contact with Topaz in an uncontrolled environment. We suspect that Topaz was experiencing intense emotions and escaped the lab in response to these new emotions.
While our team is looking to recapture Topaz as soon as possible, please do note that the project is confidential, is not known to the public, and recapturing has to be done in complete secret.
I have attached a picture of Topaz and MARU for your reference. I will be sending you more information about the project when I have retrieved it in the database. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
