That's right, everybody! It's your favourite boi~
And when I'm not stuck inside a navy military training base for days, washing plates, cleaning toilets and carrying guns, you'll most likely find me engaging with anything and everything that has to do with Sonic the Hedgehog.
. . . Yeah, that's all I ever do with my life, isn't it? I'm either playing Sonic games or I'm being an Aegean sailor.
And recently, after catching up on everything the blue pinecone has been up to... I noticed that he got himself a partnership with the Olympics! Minus all the plumbing. Sorry, Italy.
They even made a few posters to celebrate the occasion! Including one where Sonic characters represent the 5 different coloured rings on the Olympics logo! Pretty typical, all things considered. Sonic is blue, Tails is yellow, Shadow is black, Knuckles is red and Amy is... Green?
Yeah! In a strange turn of events, someone over at SEGA decided it was a good idea to have Amy represent the colour green for the logo. Y'know, despite there being a multitude of green Sonic characters to choose from. One of them was even featured in their latest game after being gone for over a decade!
This is so peculiar to me! Like, yeah, I get that Amy is part of the main cast (the Dream Cast, if you will), but did no one else think that something was... Slightly off about the picture? I don't mind it, per sé, I just think it's fascinatingly odd.
Y'know what, actually? I don't think that's Amy Rose at all. I think this is a brand new hedgehog, altogether! And I'm going to call her... Jade Leaf (trademark pending)
So, in an attempt to get back into the swing of things, I decided to draw a simple picture of her stretching before any Olympic events. Stretching is important after all. Especially if it involves stretching your big, sexy, green, two-toned soles for the world to see~
But what do you guys think? Be sure to lemme know down in the comments, and if you're feeling like it, why not help me in creating some backstory for Jade~? I'd love to flesh her out some more instead of her just being... Amy but Green.
