To those that don't know, which I'm guessing is roughly 99% of you, Tomica Hero Rescue Fire is a tokusatsu show from 2009 that was a direct sequeal to another tokusatsu show: Tomica Hero Rescue Force. Both series were created by Takara Tomy and based off of their Tomica toy car line; both series are also the spiritual successors to the tokusatsu show Maden Senki Ryukendo.
Unlike the more popular Kamen Rider and Super Sentai series, Tomica Hero was a tokusatsu show based entirely around the Rescue Genre. While Rescue Force dealt with saving people from natural disasters, Rescue Fire focused primarily on firefighting. The shows, naturally, didn't have the budget that Kamen Rider or Super Sentai would have, needing to rely more on CGI for their mecha fights, but the series doesn't suffer from it. Instead, the show takes advantage of the CGI and goes all out to try and make the Rescue Genre as kick-ass as possible.
Here, Harrison is showing off the armor of Fire-1, the leader of the Rescue Fire squadron.
My first commission from Spix, and I am really satisfied with the results. This is the first image in my gallery that wasn't done in a digital medium and I very much like how it looks. Thanks, once again, Spix, and I hope to do business with you in the future!
