day 13 is drink! this drawing was inspired by a story idea i had a while ago (maybe i'll try writing it at some point? we'll see) where the premise is that a grad student at a university is part of a team trying to discover a way to slow the process of aging, and they...kind of do? they found a way to infuse the essence of inanimate objects in with living beings. their testing process was supposed to begin on animals with short lifespans like insects, but a mishap occurred and a few of the researchers became fused with some of the objects in their vicinity. the story would follow the grad student who became fused with the mug on his desk adjusting to his new life, including his new job as a professor, now that he can't really do any physical work. this is a concept sketch i suppose of him here with his husband (note the wedding ring soldered to interlink around his handle) drinking tea out of him.
