What lovely layers to devour and enjoy from the kitchens of
xsonic
Reeeeally simple one to make!
You'll need:
About 10 small Carrot Breads (vary on the ammount of layers you want, I used 2 by layer)
180g sardine without oil (2 cans - you can use tuna too)
450g Mayonese (the ammout will vary, you can use a Light one if you prefer)
3 tablespons of Ketchup
4 tablespoons of Mustard
1 tablespoon of Oregano
Lettuce
For the sardine layers:
In a pot, put the clean sardines, about two very filled tablespoons of mayonese, the ketchup, mustard and oregano. Mixture it very very well until all the sardine pieces are well milled and you have an uniform pate. Try it, if necessary add more ketchup, mustard or oregano.
For the cake:
Cut the bread in very thin (about 1cm height) pieces and start with a single layer of these pieces on the bottom of a tuperware or any plastic recipient you want to make it. Remember to not let big spaces between the pieces, letting it very uniform.
Over this layer, put a very decent layer of the sardine pate. Then another bread layer, covered wth a thin one of mayonese. Then put the Lettuce, cutted in very small strips. Then another one of bread pieces, another one of sardine pate, one of bread, another one of mayonese and lettuce, another one of bread and then cover it with a thicker layer of mayonese.
Cover the recipient and take to the fridge for one or two hours, then serve! ^^
If you like to, decorate with some small letuce leafs and thin pieces of cherry or pear tomato.
I used Carrot breads because they are a little sweet wich makes a very good contrast with the sardine and mayonese! But of course, you can use any bread you want ;)
Hope you enjoy it! =) If you ever make the recipe, please let me know!
