Okay so this is Colt, Angel's love interest and I kinda needed to build from that, despite being one of the older characters in the series he has one of the most direct and cynical outlooks and he was designed to be a drunk and a former gambler, I like the idea that his personality on a good day is the song by Kenny Rogers.
Colt's ability is called the dead man's hand and amounts to the fact he cannot die in any capacity until he draws a dead man's hand in a game of poker. He hasn't played one in over 50 years due to his depression...
Colt was born over 200 years ago to origins he never discusses, he had a long commitment to being a soldier, earning his codename "Husk" by seeming to never die, drinking like his liver was optional, which nowadays it may as well be and playing poker. He was originally killed holding the dead man's hand and inherited his power which amounts to a curse. In his own words he has replaced every part of his skeleton with titanium implants to "Test" a medical theory after losing his head, but was found an anomaly when he was the only survivor. His organs essentially don't function within normal parameters, allowing him to withstand any method of non physical killing. All purpose seeming to be lost until an exorbitant dancer at his favorite dive offered him some company and he refused, only to be met with his first friend in over a century.
The traits and items on him show his Stagnation: His dead eyes are essentially just the curse on him to show he can't be killed until it's lifted; His dog tags are his long commitment to fighting and trying to find creative ways to risk life, including being a member of the original Devil Dogs; His neck tattoo while simple is his reminder of his beheading a long time ago, long hidden under the feathers of his coat.
Colt was originally not supposed to matter this much until I found how interesting it would be to have him with a more interesting story... Also just love short kings man...
