Howl it goin'!!!
What do we have here, another major update to my pride and joy!?!?
Well more like a brief intermission. This art piece being the brief intermission, the actual length of time between this and the last update was... not gonna want to say it out loud lmao. Well here we are anyways!
For those of you who forgot and I wouldn't blame you, the comic's title is "Dog in Place". The term Dog acting like a verb, not a noun. Like, you're being a dog or doing doggish things... physically in place haha. I came up with this name YEARS ago and already have cemented it as the title. The story follows a family of canines, so there you go! (Trust though, there's more than dogs in the story.)
The Calupoh father Loborío of 4, and Husband to his beloved Brazilian Terrier Lola - is still driving home from dropping off Polo at a supermarket. Though not until after he makes a detour to his favorite fast food joint - a taco shop! Not being one to drive in silence, nor play random tunes the radio may he playing, he reaches for a CD from one of his favorite artists of all time instead. Not a scratch on that disc, for he's the only one allowed to touch it less you get a stern talking to and a growl from the wolf dog haha. Notice how gently he fetches the treat from it's plastic enclosure, making use of his paw pads instead of the keratin daggers that could harm the ever so vulnerable readable side of the CD. Well except the inner ring, his claw fits perfect inside lol.
Lobo doesn't care who's around him, playing his heavy metal on full blast and howling adding to the chorus whilst smacking the side of his trusty Toyota to the beat. His tail is more likely wagging so rapidly it perfectly matches a metronome! He probably shouldn't play it so loud given his highly sensitive ears, his wife probably warns him all the time about it but hearing loss be damned he's gonna feel like he's back in his younger concert days. Those howls may turn into deep ecsataic barks, so steer clear if you don't want your own ears damaged!
The dude to the right better not send any annoyed quips or remarks in the way of the wolf dog, not because he would be met with a stern glare and low snarl (which he would), but simply for the dog not even hearing him to begin with XD
Orío is having a mighty fine time in morning traffic and the rapid pace of the song is gonna urge him to accelerate so fast when the light turns green he'll be at his destination way before the music ends. Too bad that CD holds way more tunes than the one lmao.
I wanted to do an update on where the plot is in the story before I continue. Right now Loborío is driving home, Polo is at his job interview (bros been there FOREVER at this point, I'm ssoooRRRYYYY!!!), and Lola and the other boys - Sam and Kale - are at home finishing breakfast. I already know what's gonna happen next throughout their day, so keep on the lookout! Hopefully no human on anthro clashes happen in the course of their day, especially since humans in their world outnumber them statistically 1 to 90 on average. Very scary!
More lore!
Let's see what Polo is up to.... (poor dog lmao)

lmao, it's such a dog thing to do. I wonder if his family get embarrassed when he does this. xD
Wow, it's been a while since I've seen or used a CD! They seem to quickly be going the way of cassette tapes. And by the looks of the dash, I'd guess a trusty Toyota Highlander.

You bet they do! Howling while appreciated, is not the best idea depending on the area - like being in traffic haha. Plus his wife probably gets mad at the scratches on the side of the driver side door from his claws as he taps to the beat lmao.
Really? I use them all the time! I don't have an after market head unit, so all I got is the stock radio with a CD player built in. So I burn all the songs I want to listen to and label each disc with a Sharpie. I keep them in an old disc holder my Dad bought YEARS ago.
Correct! It seats 7 on a good day, perfect for a family of dogs :D
