HUMAN!!111!!
OK, here is a rough sketch of my character from our newly started Deadlands RPG. Yes it is a dice throwin' game, none of that fancy mouse and keyboard stuff.
Deadlands is basically a combination of the best of Clint Eastwood Spaghetti westerns mixed in with some HP Lovecraftian gothic horror and old folk lore come to life.
I play your classic quick drawin' gunslinger, dressed head to toe in black, with a red neckerchief bout his neck. He might just be mistaken for a preacher, but he dun deal in the kinda prayin' most folks is thinkin' He is always accompanied by a rather large amber eyed black wolf, he calls Loco.
As far as Gallows history, he has no clue. Found hanging on a makeshift gallows outside of Tombstone, he was severly beaten and left for dead. He knows nothing of why, whether by darker forces or whether it was justified.
Pieces I took from "Hang em High" and Lazarus man" should be a really fun game! And I realize he is gunless in that one pic at the bottom, din know what kinda irons he carried yet. Pretty much will carry a Colt Peacemaker Cavalry and a converted Colt Dragoon.

Awe Everybody and their Moms had Peacemakers!
How about some better, more unique firearms like the LeMat (7 shots of .32, plus a single shotgun shell in the middle.)
Or my personal Favorites, the Smith and Wesson Model 2 Schofield (preferred by Jesse James, Teddy Roosevelt and Virgil Earp) or Webley RIC(two were preferred Custer.) Both tasty breach action, self extracting revolver

Maybe not appropriate for your campaign setting, but I thought up a gun that might go well with this guy. It's a Desert Eagle the SIZE of the .50 Action Express caliber, but in fact chambered for 9mm. Holds twenty rounds per clip, very easy to aim (due to high weight of gun compared to weight of cartridge); a surprise for anyone who thinks you'll be dry after eight shots. I call it the "Covert Elite".
So, is he Harrowed?
Are you playing the original version with cards and chips? Or the D20 or GURPS version?
I enjoyed our Deadlands game too. Then again, I like most games where you expect to lose your character in 3-4 games and any game you are honestly surprised by when you manage to survive.
And like Lovecraft... if you want to live the longest, learn to run fast! *L* Tummy-twisters SUCK!
