he other day I saw the classic animated film titled "The Care Bears Movie II: A New Generation" from 1986...and at the beginning of the film I saw one of the characters called "Bright Heart Raccoon" when he was just a baby raccoon and arriving to the cloud world along with the other little ones!
I decided to make this fan art with this character and mixed it with the beautiful song titled "Forever Young", here the little one receives a visit from heaven... a little star that makes friends with him demonstrating the universal theme of friendship!

About the movie:
Care Bears Movie II: A New Generation is a 1986 animated musical fantasy film co-produced by LBS Communications and Nelvana Limited, and released by Columbia Pictures. It is the third animated feature from Nelvana and the second film based on the Care Bears franchise. It was directed by Dale Schott, written by Peter Sauder, and produced by Nelvana's three founders; Michael Hirsh, Patrick Loubert, and Clive A. Smith. It stars the voices of Alyson Court, Cree Summer, Maxine Miller and Hadley Kay. In the story, The Great Wishing Star (voiced by Chris Wiggins) tells the origins of the Care Bears and the story of their first Caring Mission. True Heart Bear and Noble Heart Horse lead the other Care Bears and Care Bear Cousins in aiding Christy, a young camper who is tempted by the evil shape-shifting Dark Heart. This is also the first appearance of the Care Bear Cubs, who also had their own line of toys.
A New Generation was made over a seven-month period at Nelvana's Toronto facilities, with additional work handled by Taiwan's Wang Film Productions, and involved several crew members who had worked on the original Care Bears Movie. Patricia Cullen served as composer, and Los Angeles musicians Dean and Carol Parks worked on the film's six songs!
Lyrics:
" Hello, old friend
Is good to be with you
Time is standing still
Our love
shines true and bright
It always will
My wishing star
has guided all you do
My empty heart you fill
We still feel
forever young
Looking back
is just the same
as we were, when we began
This love will keep protecting us
Reach for me and I will take your hand
When we're apart
just close your eyes
and you'll see me waiting there
You can always count on me
I will always care
My special friend,
inside my heart you stay
You'll be with me until
The sun
shines through the night
It never will
My little star,
you'll never fade away
The hands of time are still
And we'll be
forever young
Step up and take my hand
One touch
and we'll be friends
forever
Hello, old friend
Is good to see you too
Time is standing still
Oh, we'll be
forever young
Hello to you
Is nice to see your smile
Step up and take my hand
One touch
and we'll be friends
forever
Hello, old friend
Is good to see you too
Time is standing still
Oh, we'll be
forever young...!"

this one does make me cry every now n then i got the lp vinyl soundtrack of Care bears 2 with a lot of the original artwork on it just the memories of times very long passed seems like an eternity ago but those memories will always be forever young, Muchas Gracias Mi Amigo y Hermano, this is beautiful
The Black Cauldron was made on a budget of $44 million and only made back $21.3 million at the box-office while the Care Bears movie was made on a budget of $2 million and made back $34 million. This was so devastating that it almost caused the animation studio to shutter for good robbing us future films like The Little Mermaid and such. Keep in mind, the same year Black Cauldron came out, Return to Oz was also a box-office bomb like Cauldron, both suffering from troubled productions, to which both have become cult films in recent years. 1985 was a really bad year for Disney.
