I found out why I like the show, upon further reflection regarding the mysterious attractive qualities of it... I found I admire the gorgeous art and animation, which is Flash-styled but wonderfully done. The humor is quite hokey, though there are some hilarious moments indeed throughout the series, but the sad moments of the stories really hit you because of how otherwise bright and cheery the show is.

Well regardless of my rant, I have art again :D
