Detritans are a species of arcane creature that are one of the rare cases of naturally occurring necromancy. When one, multiple, or fractions of a soul bind with biomass found on the floor of forests high in natural magic, a detritan rises. While most are humanoid, they can take many shapes and can be made form wood, peat, fungi, lichen, tar, and even the bones of fallen creatures. They sometimes even bind with parts of the bodies they had in life if one is unlucky enough to fall where the magics are high and their soul is forced to wander.
They have no memory of their past life or lives before their formation, but maintain a shape that they feel is familiar to them.
I also made this one fat because, damn it, it's my made up horror species and I can do whatever what I want with them!
